Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12.09.2026

This notice explains how we collect and use personal information when you visit this website, book a conversation with us, contact us, or interact with Tenth Vantage professionally.

We have kept it as short and clear as we can.

If you become a client, you will receive a separate Client Privacy Notice covering our work together, including how we handle information shared during an advisory engagement and what, if anything, is shared with a sponsoring organisation.

Who we are

Tenth Vantage is a leadership advisory practice founded by Crina Ancuta.

For the purposes of data protection law, the controller of your information is Rise to Leadership Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16239614/trading as Tenth Vantage, with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, W1W 5PF, London.

You can contact us about anything in this notice at contact@tenthvantage.com.

What information we collect

When you book a conversation. Through the booking form we collect your name, email address, the time you choose, whether the conversation is for you or for a leader in your organisation, and anything you choose to write about what prompted you to get in touch.

When you write to us. If you contact us by email, through LinkedIn or on WhatsApp, we receive your name, your contact details and whatever you include in your message.

When you visit the website. Like any website, ours receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and the type of device and browser you use. If you allow analytics cookies, our analytics tool also records how you move through the site, such as pages viewed, clicks and time spent, recognises returning visitors and groups visits into sessions. We use the resulting analytics reports only in aggregate, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

From public professional sources. We may look at publicly available professional information about you, such as your LinkedIn profile or your organisation's website, when preparing for a conversation or considering whether Tenth Vantage may be relevant to you.

When we contact you professionally. We may use publicly available professional information, an existing professional relationship, a referral or an introduction to identify and contact people for whom Tenth Vantage may be relevant. We do this only where permitted by applicable law. You can ask us not to contact you again at any time.

Information about someone else. If you book on behalf of a leader in your organisation, or introduce someone to us, you may give us information about that person. Please share only what we need to understand the situation and, where appropriate, let them know that you have been in touch with us.

If we obtain your personal information from someone else or from public sources, we will make this notice available to you within a reasonable period and no later than one month. If we contact you before then, we will make it available when we first contact you, unless an exception under data protection law applies.

Sensitive information. Leadership situations can sometimes involve health, beliefs, personal circumstances or other information that receives additional protection under data protection law.

We do not need this information to arrange a first conversation, so please do not include it in the booking form or your initial message.

If you include it anyway, we will minimise its use and assess whether we have an appropriate lawful basis and an additional condition under data protection law to process it. Where we do not, we will delete or restrict it as soon as reasonably practicable. Where we rely on explicit consent, we will ask for it separately.

Do you have to provide this information?

You are not legally required to give us personal information.

However, we need basic information such as your name and email address to arrange a conversation or respond to an enquiry. Without it, we may not be able to do so.

The services we use

We use a small number of service providers to operate the website and the practice.

Depending on the service and the processing involved, they may act on our behalf as processors or process certain information as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

These currently include:

  • Squarespace which hosts this website and provides its analytics;

  • Calendly which manages bookings;

  • Gmail for email and, where applicable, document storage;

  • WhatsApp Business.

If you contact us through LinkedIn or WhatsApp, those platforms also process information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. The same applies to any external website or service you choose to access through a link on ours.

We may also share information with professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants where necessary, and with courts, regulators or public authorities where the law requires it.

If the business were ever reorganised, sold or transferred, relevant information may be disclosed to advisers or a successor organisation subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Where a transfer of personal information outside the UK requires additional safeguards, we use mechanisms recognised by UK data protection law. Depending on the destination and provider, these may include:

transfers to countries recognised by the UK as providing adequate protection;

for eligible US organisations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework;

the UK International Data Transfer Agreement;

the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses; or

another transfer mechanism permitted by applicable law.

You can contact us at [email address] if you would like more information about the safeguards used for a particular transfer.

How long we keep information

Enquiries, introductions and bookings that do not lead to an engagement: up to 12 months from our last substantive contact, then deleted or anonymised.

Professional outreach that does not develop into a relationship: up to 12 months from our last substantive interaction, then deleted or anonymised.

If we go on to work together: retention is covered by the Client Privacy Notice.

Website analytics: anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained for as long as they remain useful because they no longer identify individual visitors. Other analytics data is retained in accordance with the relevant provider settings and our Cookie Notice.

Marketing objections: if you ask us not to contact you for marketing or business development purposes, we may keep the minimum information necessary to record and respect that preference.

Keeping information secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, and access is limited to those who need it for legitimate business purposes.

We choose service providers with appropriate privacy and security safeguards and review our arrangements as the practice develops.

No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep the site secure and working properly.

We also use analytics cookies to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and to improve it.

We ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page.

Declining analytics cookies does not affect the core functionality of the site.

We do not use advertising or retargeting technologies such as Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag.

If that changes, we will update our privacy information and obtain any consent required before using them.

Full details, including information about cookies and similar technologies used by our website and booking tools, are available in our Cookie Notice.

Your rights

These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;

  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • ask us to delete your information;

  • ask us to restrict how we use it;

  • receive certain information you provided to us in a portable format, where applicable; and

  • withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent.

Your right to object. Where we rely on our legitimate interests, including when we contact you professionally, you can object at any time. We will stop that processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the information is needed for legal claims.

If we use your personal information for direct marketing, you can object at any time, without giving a reason. We will stop using it for that purpose.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@tenthvantage.com.

We will normally respond within one month.

If a request is complex or we have received a number of requests from you, the law may allow us to extend the response period by up to two further months. We will tell you if this applies.

If we reasonably need information to confirm your identity, the response period begins once we receive the information required.

If we reasonably need you to clarify a request for access to your information, the response period may be paused while we wait for that clarification.

We will carry out reasonable and proportionate searches for information covered by your request.

If you have a concern

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at [email address].

We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. We will then investigate it, keep you informed of progress and tell you the outcome without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.

ICO website: ico.org.uk
